A leading healthcare provider in London is offering a fellowship in Thoracic Radiology. This 12-month position provides advanced training in thoracic imaging, including diagnostic and interventional procedures. Candidates will work alongside experienced clinicians, gaining exposure to a variety of cases and participating in quality improvement projects. The role includes responsibilities such as leading intervention lists, participating in MDTs, and contributing to research opportunities.
Fellowship in Thoracic Radiology
Main site of activity: SMH, CXH, HH
Applicants should possess FRCR or an equivalent qualification. They should have CCTd or achieved equivalent consultant competency prior to the start date of the fellowship.
The post will run for a fixed term of 12 months.
Background: ICHNT covers a broad caseload encompassing all fields of cardiothoracic medicine and imaging. It includes a specialist haematological oncology unit offering stem cell transplantation and a renal unit with transplant services. These vulnerable cohorts require regular input from respiratory services based at Hammersmith Hospital. The Trust also has a busy lung oncology service with stereotactic ablative radiotherapy and offers a full range of nuclear medicine imaging modalities.
The recent NHS rollout of Total Lung Health Checks and Lung Cancer Screening has increased demand for lung cancer imaging and interventions, providing training opportunities in diagnostic and interventional radiology and NHS management skills.
This fellowship aims to provide advanced training in all subspecialties and modalities of thoracic imaging (CT/MR/US). Candidates will also gain exposure to general radiology with tertiary cases across all fields.
