Job summary

Anderson Moores Veterinary Specialists, part of Linnaeus, is hiring a Cardiology/Laboratory Technician based at Anderson Moores. The role is permanent, part-time (33.5 hours/week) with Mon-Fri plus 1:4 Saturdays. The successful candidate will support a multidisciplinary veterinary team with lab and clinical duties to ensure excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across clinical, kennel, and laboratory areas.
• Follow strict infection control protocols to prevent cross-contamination.
• Clean and disinfect equipment, surfaces, and patient areas.
• Ensure appropriate waste disposal in line with clinical guidelines.
• Safely handle and restrain patients for procedures, examinations, and treatments.
• Assist with patient movement and positioning.
• Provide basic patient care, ensuring comfort and welfare at all times.
• Support the veterinary team during procedures as required.
• Assist with sample preparation and processing.
• Accurately record all laboratory tests and ensure they are correctly placed into the system.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for use.
