Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced advanced practitioner nurse to join our cardiology team and play a leading role in service transformation. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver patient-centred care at an advanced level, while shaping the future of clinical practice within our Trust. It is a combined clinical leadership role.

The postholder will be involved in the direct management of patients - inpatient and virtual as well as leading the cardiology specialist nursing team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a highly specialist clinical leader and role model across the cardiology service
• Manage a case load of patients, independently review and order tests for inpatients and virtual ward patients, review results and escalate accordingly.
• Lead the ongoing development of clinical practice and standards of care within the service and Trust
• Contribute to the design and implementation of service transformation initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous improvement
• Support the development of digital healthcare solutions, including virtual wards
• Mentor and support colleagues in their professional development

Requirements:

• Be educated to Master's level in advanced clinical practice
• Demonstrate expert knowledge and skills across the four pillars of advanced practice: clinical/direct care, leadership and collaborative practice, improving quality and developing practice, and developing self and others
