University Hospitals of North Midlands - Healthcare Scientist Trainee (Respiratory Physiology)

Please note: University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply; however, UHNM cannot offer sponsorship at the end of your visa. You must also have at least six months remaining on your graduate visa at the start of employment for training and operational reasons.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring healthcare scientist to train in Respiratory Physiology and become part of the regional community diagnostic centre. The successful candidate will undertake a 24-month training program as a Healthcare Science Level 4 Apprentice within the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.

Formal training will be provided to develop skills and knowledge in respiratory physiology. The study will be conducted in partnership with an approved college provider. This is a full-time position, requiring commitment to self-directed study, attendance at college sessions (both virtual and in person), and successful completion of the training within the contracted period.

The post holder will learn to perform routine respiratory and cardiac diagnostic tests, gaining practical experience in a respiratory physiology service. The training program is designed to support career development in this specialty.
