A leading healthcare provider in the UK is seeking a Healthcare Scientist Trainee in Respiratory Physiology to join their team. This full-time role offers a 24-month training program with formal training to develop skills in diagnostic tests. Candidates must possess a graduate visa and demonstrate a strong commitment to their studies and training responsibilities.
Please note: University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. In accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, these roles do not meet the skill or salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply; however, UHNM cannot offer sponsorship at the end of your visa. You must also have at least six months remaining on your graduate visa at the start of employment for training and operational reasons.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an aspiring healthcare scientist to train in Respiratory Physiology and become part of the regional community diagnostic centre. The successful candidate will undertake a 24-month training program as a Healthcare Science Level 4 Apprentice within the University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust.
Formal training will be provided to develop skills and knowledge in respiratory physiology. The study will be conducted in partnership with an approved college provider. This is a full-time position, requiring commitment to self-directed study, attendance at college sessions (both virtual and in person), and successful completion of the training within the contracted period.
The post holder will learn to perform routine respiratory and cardiac diagnostic tests, gaining practical experience in a respiratory physiology service. The training program is designed to support career development in this specialty.
