Job summary

The Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist for bank shifts to support growing cardiology services. You will perform a range of non-invasive cardiac tests and assist in procedures, with flexibility to cover annual leave or busy periods.

This is an as-needed bank role, offering exposure to a wide range of cardiac investigations and procedures in a leading private healthcare group. Salary is competitive and paid hourly.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent (ONC/BTEC) required.
• Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE) preferred.
• Experience in non-invasive cardiac investigations and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac investigations (ECG, Holter, event monitors).
• Carry out exercise tolerance tests and tilt table testing.
• Undertake and interpret echocardiograms.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures and device checks.
• Provide technical support during pacemaker, ICD, CRT implantations.
• Monitor intracardiac pressures during procedures.

Salary: Up to £30.00 per hour (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Princess Margaret Hospital in Windsor is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist to join our team of staff. This role supports the growing Cardiology services within the hospital.

This is a bank role, working on an "as and when required" basis. You will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff during annual leave or absence.

Duties of this role include:

• Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments.
• Undertake and interpret echocardiograms (transthoracic, transoesophageal, and stress echo, if appropriately trained).
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies.
• Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Provide technical support during pacemaker, ICD, and CRT implantations.
• Conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
• Analyse device data and provide expert interpretation to guide clinical decisions.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• A degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
• Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE)
• Must be able to carry out Echocardiogram test.
