Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group, is hiring a Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiology team on a 37.5-hour, full-time permanent basis. The role involves performing and interpreting non-invasive cardiac tests, managing exam procedures, and contributing to patient care within a private healthcare network.

Applicants should hold a degree in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, with BHRS/BHRE/BSE accreditation; flexible shifts and progression opportunities are offered

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• A degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
• Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE) Must be highly specialised in either Imaging or CRM.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies.
• Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
• Analyse device data and provide expert interpretation to guide clinical decisions.
