Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle, part of Circle Health Group, is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiology team on a 37.5 hour per week, permanent basis. The role includes a flexible shift pattern and duties across non-invasive cardiac investigations, ETTs, tilt testing, and device checks.

Applicants should hold a degree in Clinical Physiology (or equivalent) with device accreditation and experience in imaging or CRM.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
• Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE).
• Highly specialised in either Imaging or CRM.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies.
• Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
• Analyse device data and provide expert interpretation to guide clinical decisions.
