Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital, part of Circle Health Group, is recruiting a Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiology team in a full-time, 37.5-hour-per-week position based at The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle.

The role involves performing non-invasive cardiac investigations, ETTs, tilt table testing, and supporting catheterisation procedures. The post requires a clinical physiology degree and specialised accreditation, with benefits including holiday allowance and private healthcare.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
• Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE).
• Specialised in imaging or CRM.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies.
• Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
• Analyse device data and provide expert interpretation to guide clinical decisions.
