Job summary

The Alexandra Hospital is part of Circle Health Group and has a cardiology vacancy for a Cardiac Physiologist. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week with a flexible shift pattern.

Salary is up to £49,500 per year depending on experience, training and qualification. The role involves performing and interpreting a wide range of non-invasive cardiac tests, aiding in catheterisation procedures, monitoring pressures, and conducting device checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical physiology and patient care.
• Accreditation in imaging or CRM is required or highly preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible shift pattern and cover 37.5 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

• Perform and interpret non-invasive cardiac investigations (ECG, Holter, event recorders, BP monitoring).
• Carry out and report exercise tolerance tests and tilt table testing.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures (angiograms, angioplasties).
• Monitor intra-cardiac pressures during procedures and record waveforms.
• Conduct device checks for pacemakers, ICDs and CRT devices and interpret data.

Cardiac Physiologist

The Alexandra Hospital 37.5 Hours & Permanent Salary: Up to £49,500.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

The Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle Is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Cardiac Physiologist to join their team of staff in the Cardiology department. This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Perform and interpret a wide range of non-invasive cardiac investigations including resting ECGs, Holter monitoring, event recorders, and blood pressure monitoring.
• Carry out and report on exercise tolerance tests (ETTs), tilt table testing, and other functional assessments.
• Assist in cardiac catheterisation procedures, including angiograms, angioplasties, and right heart studies.
• Monitor and record intra-cardiac pressures and waveforms during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Conduct pacemaker, ICD, and CRT device checks and follow-ups in accordance with current guidelines.
• Analyse device data and provide expert interpretation to guide clinical decisions.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Current knowledge of a range of clinical specialties and developments in clinical practice.
• Experience of customer care, including interacting with customers in challenging situations.
• A degree in Clinical physiology or equivalent / ONC / BTEC in physiological measurement and medical physics.
• Device or Echocardiography accreditation (BHRS/BHRE/BSE) Must be highly specialised in either Imaging or CRM.
