Job summary

Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Physiologist to join the Cardiac Unit on a bank/ad hoc basis. You will perform and report adult echocardiograms, maintain high standards of patient care, and support the cardiology team.

The role requires RCCP registration (AHCS/BSE ideally) and a relevant clinical physiology qualification. This bank position offers flexibility and competitive rates dependent on experience.

Qualifications

• Holds a degree in Clinical Physiology, Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science) or equivalent relevant qualification.
• Is registered with RCCP, AHCS or equivalent
• Has accreditation with BSE
• Has experience in cardiac investigations and diagnostic testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform, interpret and report adult Transthoracic Echocardiograms
• Ensure high standards of patient care, safety and dignity at all times
• Accurate record keeping using PACS, RIS
• Support consultants and the wider cardiology team in the diagnosis and management of their patients
• Maintain compliance with departmental policies, professional standards and quality assurance requirements
• Participate in service improvement initiatives and continuing professional development

As a Cardiac Physiologist at our Cambridge Hospital, you'll hold either a BTEC ONC and HNC in Medical Physics and Physiological Measurement, or a BSc in Clinical Science /Physiology (or equivalent). You're currently registered with the RCCP as a Clinical Physiologist. Ideally, you're also accredited with SCST and BSE. You're flexible, motivated and a team player.

As a Cardiac Physiologist, you will:
