A leading NHS Trust in the UK is looking for a dynamic cardiac physiologist to join their team. This role involves complex non-invasive cardiac investigations, including the analysis and reporting of results. Candidates must have significant experience in cardiac physiology with a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent. The position offers training towards professional qualifications and a salary range of £38,682 to £46,580 annually.
WAHT have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic, self motivated cardiac physiologist to join our friendly team based at the Alexandra Hospital. The role involves a wide range of complex, non-invasive cardiac investigations including analysis, reporting of results and clinical interpretation, pacemaker and device follow up (in person and virtually), performing ECG and exercise tolerance testing. Training and development towards professional qualifications such as BHRS, IBHRE will be provided.

Perform as lead Physiologist in Cardiac Physiologist led Exercise Tolerance Tests (ETTs). Without supervision, analyse and report the results of the procedure in accordance with national and departmental protocols. Provide Physiologist support during Medically supervised ETTs.
Independently perform pacemaker and device follow ups, including analysing complex data and recognising when to re-programme appropriate parameters as per manufacturer and departmental policies and protocols for individual patients. This includes follow up of devices remotely via home monitoring. Support all areas of the cardiac devices services including ad hoc in patient checks, MRI support, switch offs for surgical procedures and monitoring patients via home monitoring systems.
Prepare, hook up, remove, download, analyse the recordings, providing written reports on 24 hr Ambulatory ECG recorders, Blood Pressure recorders and Cardiac Event recorders, according to the departmental procedures and protocols. Perform Electrocardiograms on all categories of patients within the trust. Interpret the results and inform the relevant Physician of any adverse abnormalities, as per the departmental protocol and procedure. Responsible for setting up equipment, preparing and carrying out Tilt table testing for medically and Physiologist supervised investigations. Accurately recording all tests and data on the Trusts computer and IT systems and programs.
