Job summary

Pulse Healthcare in Harrogate is seeking a Band 6 or Band 7 General Physiologist to join our clinical team. The post offers full-time or part-time hours and a starting date of 04/02/2025 for a 3-month assignment, based in Harrogate.

You will perform cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological assessments, interpret results, calibrate equipment, and collaborate with cardiology colleagues to develop patient care plans.

Qualifications

• Degree in Clinical Physiology or related field.
• Registration with RCCP or AHCS.
• NHS experience or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency in performing and interpreting physiological tests.
• Experience in invasive cardiac procedures such as catheterizations and angiographies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to continuing professional development.
• Knowledge of current physiological care guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Conduct a wide range of cardiovascular, respiratory, and neurological assessments.
• Interpret test results, produce detailed reports, and contribute to patient care plans.
• Educate patients on conditions and management strategies.
• Maintain and calibrate diagnostic equipment; adhere to health and safety standards.
• Assist in invasive cardiac procedures and work with cardiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses.
