Job summary

ChristianaCare is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform comprehensive echocardiograms in adults and geriatric patients. You will conduct 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Doppler studies, including stress echoes and Dobutamine tests, with IV access when needed.

You’ll present findings to physicians and ensure high-quality images and reports. CPR certification and registry-eligible status are required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred in sonography or related field.
• ARDMS RDCS or Cardiovascular Credentialing International RCVT certification or registry-eligible.
• CPR certification required.
• IV experience with saline contrast.
• Experience in stress echo and dobutamine stress echo.

Responsibilities

• Performs 2D, M-Mode, CW, PW, and Color Flow Doppler echocardiograms.
• Performs stress echocardiograms.
• Performs IV starts for Dobutamine stress testing.
• Demonstrates quality and quantitative echocardiograms for adults and geriatrics.
• Present completed echocardiograms to physicians accurately.
• Rotate to all Cardiac Diagnostic Centers as directed.
• Enter accurate patient study information into the clinical care system.
• Maintain CPR and mandatory in-service education.
• Adhere to safety rules and report unsafe conditions.
• Attend departmental meetings and in-services as required.
