Job summary

Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer on a part-time basis to join the Cardiac Physiology team in Ysbyty Glan Clwyd. The role focuses on performing ECGs with high-quality tracing and ensuring patient comfort and safety.

You will work across clinics, wards, and SCBU, using SCST guidelines to place electrodes and troubleshoot artefacts. Welsh language ability is desirable, and applications in Welsh are welcome.

Qualifications

• 4 GCSEs or equivalent.
• Teamwork is essential.
• Able to communicate with different patient groups.

Responsibilities

• Perform ECGs on adults and paediatrics with clear, legible traces.
• Place electrodes according to SCST guidelines to obtain quality recordings.
• Reduce artefact and troubleshoot ambulatory monitoring (Event, 24h, 48h, 7 day, BP).
• Instruct patients on equipment use and set event monitor modes as needed.
