Job summary

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust is recruiting for a Band 3 HCA/Cath Labs Technician to join the cardiac cath labs and day ward. You will support a multidisciplinary team, assist with patient care under a nurse, scrub and circulate for procedures, and help promote health choices while maintaining a safe environment.

The role requires flexibility across shifts including nights, with opportunities to develop essential skills under leadership.

Qualifications

• Essential Level III NVQ in Care or equivalent experience.
• Essential basic computer experience.
• Cardiology and patient care experience preferred.
• Experience as a Healthcare Assistant is advantageous.
• Desirable: familiarity with Cerner and audit/surveys.

Responsibilities

• Support the multidisciplinary team with delegated cardiac care.
• Assist in patient care under supervision of a registered nurse.
• Scrub and circulate for specified cardiac procedures.
• Support health promotion and patient empowerment initiatives.
• Maintain hygiene, order and safety in the ward/department.
