Self-Employed Car Sales Executive
Grays, Essex
Salary £1,500 a month plus commission OTE 65k plus
Working Hours: Monday – Saturday 9am – 6pm Alternate Sundays

We are a family-run business within the motor trade, known for friendly service, an honest approach, and a loyal customer base. We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Self-Employed Car Sales Executive to join our growing team.

Role

As a Car Sales Executive, you’ll be responsible for managing the full sales process, from enquiry to handover, while delivering outstanding customer service. This is a self-employed role, offering the freedom to manage your own earnings while being supported by a trusted and established family business.

Responsibilities
  • Responding to new and existing customer enquiries regarding used vehicle sales
  • Guiding customers through the purchase process with a professional, friendly approach
  • Meeting sales targets and maximising finance and upsell opportunities
  • Completing finance applications with customers (in person and over the phone)
  • Maintaining accurate records, invoices, and daily expenses
  • Managing the vehicle handover process with garages and bodyshops, ensuring all prep work is completed
  • Overseeing the appointment board and learning vehicle photography
  • Providing aftersales support in line with company policy
The Car Sales Executive we’re Looking For
  • Minimum of 3 years’ proven sales experience (car sales experience preferred)
  • A driven, target-focused individual with excellent customer service skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  • Organised, self-motivated, and able to manage workload independently
  • Professional approach with the ability to build long-term customer relationships
