Overview

Car Mechanic - Permanent Contract
Location: Hitchin
Pay: £32,000 to £38,000 per year - salary negotiable depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday (no weekends). Overtime available if desired.

The Role

• Car Mechanic, responsible for carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles.
• Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
• Ensuring all work is completed to a high standard, meeting both safety and customer expectations.
• Working efficiently to achieve daily targets while maintaining quality.

What We're Looking For

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.
• Previous workshop experience in a similar role.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
• A positive, team-focused approach with excellent attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence (preferred).
• MOT testing qualification (advantageous but not essential).
