Job description

We are currently recruiting skilled vehicle technicians to join our busy service team on a full-time, permanent basis at our Premier Motors division based in the Isle of Wight.

Salary: Dependent on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 4.30 pm, totaling 40 hours per week. Some flexibility is required, including longer days and occasional Saturday mornings.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Diagnose, repair, and service vehicles to a high standard, covering our Ford and MG franchises.
  2. Conduct full vehicle inspections, including electronic vehicle health checks and videos.
  3. Carry out repairs and servicing aligned with manufacturer standards.
  4. Provide accurate summaries of works and procedures, ensuring first-time fixes.
  5. Communicate effectively with the service team to update on progress and completion.
  6. Uphold warranty repair standards and ensure safe, efficient use of workshop facilities.
  7. Offer technical advice to apprentices and non-technical staff.
Ideally, We Are Looking For
  1. Previous experience in a vehicle workshop, preferably with main dealer/franchise experience.
  2. Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ Level 3). Electric vehicle experience is a plus.
  3. A friendly and outgoing personality, with a customer-focused approach.
  4. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  5. A full and clean driving licence.
