About The Role

BYD Europe is seeking a dynamic and experienced Captive Lease Manager to drive the growth and optimization of our captive leasing programs. This role combines strategic collaboration, financial analysis, and partner management to deliver innovative leasing solutions that align with organizational goals. You will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to enhance financing offerings and maximize profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Captive Leasing Program Development & Execution
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Risk Management, Operations) to design, implement, and refine captive leasing solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for product innovation and process improvements.
  • Develop financial models to evaluate leasing structures, pricing strategies, and ROI scenarios.
  • Monitor program performance metrics and recommend adjustments to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Partner & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Cultivate and manage relationships with leasing partners, vendors, and financial institutions to expand financing options and streamline service delivery.
  • Negotiate terms and agreements with external partners to optimize risk-sharing models and enhance customer value propositions.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to create joint initiatives, promotional campaigns, and customer-facing materials.
  • Financial Insights & Strategic Advisory
  • Analyze leasing portfolios, customer credit profiles, and market trends to generate actionable insights for senior leadership.
  • Prepare executive-level reports on leasing performance, risk exposure, and growth opportunities.
  • Advise internal stakeholders on regulatory compliance, tax implications, and accounting standards related to captive leasing.
  • Identify process automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and scalability.
  • Customer-Centric Solutions
  • Work directly with enterprise clients to understand their financial needs and propose customized leasing strategies.
  • Resolve complex customer inquiries related to lease structures, payment terms, and contractual obligations.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or CFA/CPA certification is a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience in captive leasing, commercial finance, or asset-based lending.
  • Proven expertise in financial modeling, risk assessment, and lease accounting (e.g., ASC 842/IFRS 16).
  • Strong negotiation skills with experience managing external partnerships and vendor relationships.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify technical concepts for non-financial stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in automotive, equipment, or technology leasing sectors.
  • Familiarity with digital platforms for lease origination and portfolio management.
  • Multilingual capabilities for global partner/customer engagement.
