Capri Team Lead Job Description

Department: Capri

Position Type: Hourly

Hourly Wage: $28.43

Summary

Provide leadership and support to their team to ensure the efficient production of quality Kraft Heinz products.

Prerequisite

Must have a solid understanding of the Filler Operator role.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Work with all departments to meet or surpass the plant’s safety goals, including participating in Safety Teams.
  2. Ensure compliance with company policies, including Safety, GMP, and Dress Code policies.
  3. Coordinate online operations with team members to meet production schedules within budgets and increase outputs.
  4. Monitor and control the entire production process, from raw materials to finished goods.
  5. Conduct Level 1 meetings and prepare for Level 2 meetings; attend quarterly Team Lead meetings and trainings.
  6. Monitor quality, safety, GMP, and housekeeping issues, and coordinate solutions.
  7. Review HACCP checks, conduct ATP swab tests, monitor heat exchanger charts, and verify hourly Performance Board completion.
  8. Verify and sign off on all relevant forms and quality data sheets, including weight control data and Zarpac navigation.
  9. Complete HOLD processes, review and submit daily reports, and communicate production and efficiency data to the team.
  10. Spend 80-100% of time on the floor, ensuring coverage and performance.
  11. Evaluate and communicate team and individual performance, resolve conflicts, and hold team members accountable.
  12. Review operational reports and correct issues as needed.
  13. Identify safety concerns and ensure plant evacuation and spill procedures are followed.
  14. Follow up on employee training and compliance with OEE and yield targets.
  15. Perform other operational and quality duties as assigned, including flexible scheduling for training.

This is a leadership role. A Team Lead must lead positively, be adaptable, honest, dependable, goal-oriented, and ready to face challenges.

Strong organizational skills, ability to multitask, and basic mechanical knowledge.

Working Conditions

Occasional exposure to wet/humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, cold, electrical hazards, and vibration. Use of PPE is required.
