Job summary

The Actuary, a leading specialty insurance organisation in the UK, is seeking a FIA Actuary to join its capital modelling team. You will take day-to-day ownership of key capital modelling components, including regulatory capital calculations and submissions, model validation and governance.

You will work with risk, finance and underwriting colleagues to challenge model outputs, deliver high-quality reporting, and contribute to capital management, risk appetite and portfolio optimisation.

Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or equivalent recognised qualification with insurance-sector experience in capital modelling or risk.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with ability to interpret complex results.
• Experience with capital modelling techniques and governance frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Take day-to-day ownership of key capital modelling components and support regulatory capital calculations and submissions.
• Analyse model outputs, assumptions and methodologies, and challenge results.
• Produce clear, high-quality reporting for senior stakeholders, committees and regulators.
