Job Description

We are seeking an Operations Capital Programme Manager to oversee capital programmes in the Thames Valley region. Reporting directly to Thames Water’s Head of Region, you will manage all delivery of capital works on sewage treatment sites, networks, and pumping stations.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with key operational and business stakeholders to manage regional capital risks from project initiation to completion.
  • Act as the project liaison between Capital Delivery, Operations teams, and project partners.
  • Manage budgets for directly managed capital works, minor projects, and health and safety capital allocations.
  • Identify investment gaps and develop proposals for current and future needs.
  • Develop and implement solutions for large investment schemes to deliver benefits across the AMP.

(Note: Internal title is Capital Enhancements & Renewals Portfolio Manager)

This role offers flexible hybrid working with travel across the region, with a 36-hour workweek, Monday to Friday.

Candidate Requirements
  • Experience managing large infrastructure programmes.
  • Background in asset infrastructure management within utilities, construction, or engineering sectors.
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Passion for health and safety, with environmental awareness.
  • Data analysis and performance communication skills.
