We provide a diverse range of organisations with advice to help them make informed decisions and maximise their tax reliefs. Our focus on quality and integrity helps businesses, communities, and our people to flourish.

As part of the wider Real Estate Tax team, we advise companies, real estate funds, investors, REITs, partnerships, and private investors on capital allowances and land remediation relief in the UK. We support property transactions, tax structuring, compliance, and due diligence across all real estate sectors including commercial, office, student accommodation, healthcare, industrial, logistics, retail, and hotels.

We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work and life commitments.

About the Role

As an Associate Director in our Capital Allowances team, you will:

  1. Be a key member of a high-performing team with extensive sector experience, working with high-profile clients on challenging projects.
  2. Develop and mentor junior team members, understanding their career goals.
  3. Work on major projects, including those with construction costs up to £350m+ and portfolio reviews involving 100+ sites, with opportunities for rapid promotion.
  4. Lead your own work, engaging with clients and collaborating with the Real Estate and broader Tax teams, supported by our experienced colleagues.
  5. Manage information gathering, assessments, report preparation, and client liaison related to capital allowances.
  6. Participate in business development and proposal activities.
  7. Prioritize and manage your workload effectively across multiple projects.

Candidate Requirements

The minimum criteria include:

  • RICS / CTA / ACA qualification or equivalent
  • Experience in Capital Allowances
  • Experience in supervising and developing junior team members

Preferred skills include tax structuring, international allowances advice, land remediation relief, and working with UK REITs and investment entities. Experience in business development and working with partners and directors is advantageous.
