We provide a diverse range of organisations with the advice needed to maximise their tax reliefs. Our focus on quality and integrity helps businesses, communities, and our people to flourish.

As part of the wider Real Estate Tax team, we advise companies, real estate funds, global institutional investors, REITs, partnerships, and private investors on capital allowances and land remediation relief in the UK. We support property transactions, tax structuring, compliance, and due diligence across all real estate sectors including commercial, office, student accommodation, healthcare, industrial, logistics, retail, and hotels.

We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work and life.

A look into the role

As a Manager or Assistant Manager in our Capital Allowances team, you will:

  • Be a key member of a high-performing team with extensive experience in the sector. You will have the opportunity to work with high-profile clients and on challenging projects.
  • Prepare capital allowances and land remediation relief reports using our bespoke software, review data, and ensure the accuracy of technical notes.
  • Support junior team members and understand their career aspirations.
  • Work on significant projects, including those with construction costs up to £350m+ and large portfolio reviews involving 100+ sites. There are ample opportunities for rapid promotion as our client base grows.
  • Manage your own work independently, engaging directly with clients and collaborating with the Real Estate and broader Tax teams, supported by our experienced colleagues.
  • Assist Directors and Associate Directors with proposals and project budgets.
  • Prioritize your workload effectively to meet project demands.
Knowing you’re right for us

The minimum criteria you’ll need:

  • RICS / CTA / ACA qualification or equivalent, or working towards one
  • Experience in Capital Allowances
  • Experience liaising with clients for project information

Preferred skills (not mandatory):

  • Experience with site surveys and purchase claims
  • Corporation tax compliance knowledge
  • Exposure to other tax issues like R&D, VAT, SDLT
  • Advising on technical tax matters
  • Managing multiple deliverables with prioritization skills
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills
