We provide a diverse range of organisations with advice to help them claim the appropriate tax reliefs. Our insights empower clients to make informed decisions, supporting their growth and compliance. We focus on quality and integrity to help businesses, communities, and our people flourish.

The Capital Allowances team is part of the wider Real Estate Tax team. We advise companies, real estate funds, global institutional investors, REITs, partnerships, and private investors on capital allowances and land remediation relief in the UK. We support property transactions, tax structuring, compliance, and due diligence across all real estate sectors including commercial, office, student accommodation, healthcare, industrial, logistics, retail, and hotels.

We support flexible working arrangements, including reduced hours and job shares, to help balance work and life commitments.

  1. Be a key member of a high-performing team with extensive sector experience, working with high-profile clients on challenging projects.
  2. Prepare capital allowances and land remediation relief reports using our bespoke software, reviewing data, and ensuring technical accuracy.
  3. Support junior team members’ development and career aspirations.
  4. Work on significant projects, including those with construction costs up to £350m+ and large portfolio reviews involving 100+ sites, offering opportunities for rapid promotion.
  5. Manage your own work independently, engaging directly with clients and collaborating with the Real Estate and broader Tax teams.
  6. Assist in proposal preparation and project budget management alongside Directors and Associate Directors.
  7. Prioritize and manage your workload effectively according to project demands.

Minimum criteria

The minimum requirements to join us as a Manager or Assistant Manager include:

  1. RICS / CTA / ACA qualification or equivalent, or working towards one.
  2. Experience in capital allowances.
  3. Experience liaising with clients to gather project information.

Preferred additional skills include experience with site surveys, purchase claims, corporation tax compliance, other tax issues (R&D, VAT, SDLT), advising on technical tax matters, managing multiple deliverables, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Our culture and values

We foster an inclusive culture that values diversity and respect. Our open environment encourages interaction with leaders and supports personal and professional growth. We believe in allowing our people to bring their whole selves to work and pursue passions both inside and outside of work.

Beyond the job

We recognize the importance of work-life balance and are open to flexible working arrangements. Our impact extends beyond daily work, including secondments, charity fundraising, and supporting entrepreneurs globally. Our values—Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect, and Responsibility—guide us in doing the right thing for our firm, clients, and society.

We seek individuals eager to contribute, innovate, and exceed expectations, committed to doing what’s right for all stakeholders.
