What You Can Expect

As a key member of the Commercial Operation team, this role is responsible for enabling the execution of strategic inventory objectives by leveraging data analytics to assess processes, determining requirements, and delivering data-driven recommendations and reports to team leads, executives and commercial stakeholders within the market or cluster.

In addition, it is responsible for the entire inbound supply chain from Node 1 to customers, consignment and loan optimization, and product allocation.

How You'll Create Impact

  • Manage the Consignment and Supply team, whose principles duties are to administrate the Node 1 to Customer inbound supply chain, including kit purchasing, daily inventory ordering, kit creation in SAP, all deployments to customers from Node 1 or Node 2, in-country backorder management and Node 1 to Node 2 or Node 1 to customer allocation requests, interacting with GCO team.
  • Prepare and report analytics around consignment, warehouse, and loaner inventory, including the ability to make recommendations on the utilization and efficiency of the company's assets
  • Prepare (leverage) analytics (already available PowerBI Dashboards) around brand rationalization including the impact on inventory and sales
  • Work with the commercial operations, sales, and marketing teams to devise strategy on brand life-cycle management
  • Work with stakeholders in the Sales Organization to proactively identify potential to redeploy inventory kits (instruments and implants) to more productive sales opportunities from unproductive accounts
  • Review and report on all aspects of of restricted stock within the markets including notification to the relevant stakeholders and proactive resolution
  • Analysis of inventory along with E&O to be able to advise of issues and recommend solutions
  • To administer inventory adjustments on SAP as required
  • Work with SAP, Power BI, Teams, and any associated Zimmer Biomet tools to develop and report KPIs on inventory and instruments
  • Analysis of Commercial Operations departmental KPIs as necessary
  • Identify and develop any further KPIs not currently being reported
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
  • Support key projects by developing project plans and monitoring performance
  • To establish and maintain a close working relationship between commercial operations, sales and marketing teams
  • Maintain current product knowledge of Zimmer portfolio, across all segments to allow sound business decision, pertaining to consignment placements, levels and Bell-curving
  • Performing user acceptance testing where required
  • Work towards robust back-up structure of the CAPEX & Inventory Team

Your Background

  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Excellent skills in working with Excel, database software and statistics. Ability to implement business needs into technology. Outstanding abilities to work in a team environment and handle responsibilities. Superior presentation skills and report-drafting abilities. Familiarity with collecting, and compiling business data.
  • The candidate should ideally be educated to degree level in a scientific discipline or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in sales, marketing or logistics of medical devices.
  • A knowledge of management accounting procedures, marketing strategy and selling skills.
  • Flair for the motivation of others, without direct responsibility
  • Negotiation within the company and with third parties.
  • Competent with the use and analysis of EXCEL, SFDC, SAP and Business Warehouse
  • Intimate knowledge of Orthopaedic consignment management processes, deployment, returns & relocations
