What you will be doing

We’re looking for a highly motivated individual to join the EOS team. The successful candidate will be accountable for the assurance of training and competency of EOS personnel and the network, as well as the effective delivery of non-shop visit activity and capability projects. This role is critical for enabling focus on Network Support and Capability Development activities, as part of EOS becoming the ‘Lead Shop’ for Civil Large Engines.

Engine Overhaul Services in Derby is a rapidly growing and a vital part of the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Network, providing capacity for multiple Trent products, as well as being the 'Lead Shop' for Civil Large Engines. This Lead Shop status requires EOS to be the primary source of training and support for the global network, as well as being a hub for shop visit capability. In order to meet the near-term increased load demands onto EOS, as well as the strategic capability aims of Aftermarket Operations, there is a requirement for a Capability Programme Manager in the EOS business.

Responsibilities

  • Be an active member of the EOS Leadership Team, working with Operations, Planning & Control and Engineering to deliver the objectives of EOS. Deputising for the Head of Capability & Programmes when required.
  • Provide people leadership for the Capability and Training & Competency Team.
  • Coordinate and manage the successful planning of all Non-Shop Visit (WID) activity requested of EOS.
  • Ensure continuous improvement of the Repair of Spares process to support the load increase.
  • Be accountable for the Training & Competency of the EOS and network personnel and support regulatory audits as required.
  • Be accountable for the effective delivery of EOS projects (including Capability, Readiness, Business Improevement and Non-Shop Visit) to cost, specification and time. Utilise programme management principles to establish the appropriate governance and controls to deliver project or programme outcomes.
  • Act as the focal point for all aspects related to your work with internal stakeholders and external partners. Ensure that delivery of capability is coupled with a clear change management plan to drive user adoption and engagement to maximise business return.
  • Work with the Facilities team to develop business cases to secure investment in capability projects or programmes.
  • Support running a Programme Management Office (PMO) for Engine Overhaul Services, including governance, processes, PM best practice, Risk Management and Business Continuity Management.
