At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Capability Lead Waste and Environmental at our Warrington, Bristol, or Newbury sites.

The Role

As a Capability Lead for the Waste and Environmental teams, you’ll be a recognized expert, utilizing comprehensive knowledge of radioactive waste management and environmental solutions to lead complex assignments in the nuclear sector. You will develop innovative solutions, lead teams, and influence the growth of the Waste and Environmental Capability within Cavendish Nuclear and with partner organizations.

Day to day, you’ll provide leadership by:

• Developing the Waste and Environmental Capability to be industry-leading.
• Building excellent client relationships.
• Participating in professional networks.
• Implementing capability strategies and plans.
• Managing the career development of specialists.
• Managing resource supply to meet demands.

This full-time role involves 37 hours per week, with regular travel across various sites and home working. Flexible and agile working arrangements may be available, including part-time or job sharing. Please inquire during the interview.

Essential Experience:

• Extensive radioactive waste management experience in the nuclear sector.
• Supporting projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Building and managing technical teams.
• Strong network within the radioactive waste sector.

Qualifications:

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or science.

Security Clearance:
Must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
