At Cavendish Nuclear, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as a Capability Lead Waste and Environmental at our Warrington, Bristol, or Newbury sites.

The Role

As a Capability Lead for the Waste and Environmental teams, you’ll be a recognized expert with comprehensive knowledge of radioactive waste management and environmental solutions. You will lead teams to develop innovative solutions and set strategic direction for the Waste and Environmental Capability within Cavendish Nuclear and its partners.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Developing the Waste and Environmental Capability to be industry-leading.
• Building collaborative client relationships.
• Representing Cavendish Nuclear in professional networks.
• Leading the development and implementation of capability strategies.
• Managing the career development of specialists.
• Managing resource supply to meet demands.

This full-time role involves 37 hours per week, with regular travel across sites and home working arrangements. Flexible and agile working options may be available, including part-time or job sharing. Please inquire during the interview process.

Essential Experience

• Extensive experience in the nuclear sector, particularly radioactive waste management.
• Supporting projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Building and managing technical teams.
• Established network within the radioactive waste sector.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in engineering or science.

Security Clearance

The candidate must be able to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
