The role

As part of our Motor Transport Team, you will conduct Civil Aviation Authority CAP 642 Safety Inspections on light and heavy vehicles and ground support equipment, following DVSA MOT standards. You will perform 7-8 inspections daily, making pass/fail decisions, documenting results, and ensuring compliance with DVSA and CAA regulations.

What will make you successful in the role?

The ideal candidate will have workshop experience in the motor trade, with an NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or a BTEC National Certificate in Vehicle Repair & Technology. Experience with servicing tools and equipment on light or heavy vehicles or ground support equipment is required. Further training can be provided to cover all asset types. A full UK driving license is essential; HGV, PCV, or Fork Lift Truck licenses are advantageous. You should be a team player, comfortable with diagnostic technology, and capable of completing relevant documentation.
