Are you passionate about providing a great dining experience? Do you thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment? We are currently seeking a Canteen Cook to join our friendly and growing team in Bodmin. This role supports the evening shift, catering for approximately 70 to 100 colleagues each day.

You will play an important role in delivering fresh, high-quality food and ensuring our canteen remains a welcoming and clean environment.

We are seeking an individual to work 15:30 – 00:30 (PM Shift) Monday to Thursday, with one 30-minute unpaid break each day. We provide a competitive hourly rate of £13.10, with an enhanced rate of £16.38 for hours worked between 20:00 and 06:00, as well as any hours worked over 37.5 per week.

Main Duties:
  • Prepare and cook varied and nutritious meals, including options for dietary requirements (including pre-ordered meals and staff bakes for break times).
  • Serve food in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and presentation throughout the food preparation areas and staff seating area.
  • Monitor and restock supplies as required (including staff vending and coffee machines).
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety and Food Hygiene regulations.
  • Gather and communicate feedback to the Catering Manager.
  • Support the Catering Manager with day-to-day operations.
  • Interact positively with colleagues and maintain a helpful, customer-first attitude.
  • Uphold company values and policies at all times.
