Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Canteen Assistant in Langport to assist with food preparation and maintain food safety standards. The role involves carrying out instructions from the supervisor, ensuring proper food handling, and cleaning duties. Ideal candidates should possess good interpersonal skills and the ability to multi-task. This is a temporary position with hours from Monday to Friday, 7 am to 3 pm.

Canteen Assistant

Hours of Work:

Monday –Friday,7am –3pm.

Key responsibilities:

• Carry out instruction of canteen supervisor
• Ensure food safety is maintained at all times
• Assist with food preparation, cooking and serving food to staff
• Ensure all food is handled and served correctly
• Carry out cleaning duties of the kitchen, canteen and surrounding areas as
required, ensuring cleaning is carried out in accordance with food safety
requirements
• Support the Canteen supervisor in managing resources efficiently so as to
minimise waste and to adhere to organisation’s green objectives

Knowledge and Skills:

The ideal candidate will wish to work in a food provision and fast paced customer
services environment. The candidate should have good interpersonal skills and
ability to multi-task.

This position is temporary.
