Job summary

Curaleaf International is expanding its clinical team in the UK. We seek an Independent Prescribing Pharmacist, capable of delivering a patient-focused service within a flexible pattern that includes Sunderland-based hybrid work and fully remote UK options.

You will support patients through their Curaleaf journey, conduct video reviews, ensure safe treatment plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimise cannabis-based therapies.

Qualifications

• Be a GPhC Registered Pharmacist with an independent prescribing qualification.
• Demonstrate regular clinical use of prescribing qualifications.
• Have a genuine interest in Cannabis-Based Products for Medicinal Use (CBMP's).
• Be able to coordinate and deliver programmes of care.
• Be adaptable and open to implementing improved ways of working.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging treatments and clinical developments.
• Post-registration experience within a clinical setting.
• Previous exposure to cannabis-based medicinal treatments.

Responsibilities

• Delivering an effective, patient-focused clinical service.
• Evaluating, organising, and prioritising workload effectively.
• Advising and supporting a defined caseload, while providing guidance to colleagues when required.
• Managing patient follow-ups and resolving issues in a proactive, professional manner, using escalation processes where appropriate.
• Maintaining accurate and comprehensive patient records.
• Attending and contributing to Multi-Disciplinary Team meetings.
• Providing patients and carers with clear, accessible written information regarding their treatment.
• Offering clinical advice to healthcare professionals on the management of patients using cannabis-based medicinal treatments.
