Job summary

Canine Partners in the United Kingdom is seeking a part-time role at our National Training Centre. You will help deliver high standards of welfare and care for dogs during their training, ensuring wellbeing, health monitoring and collaboration with trainers, fosterers and volunteers.

You will support daily routines, health checks, grooming, and welfare activities while promoting a compassionate and professional environment for both dogs and carers.

Qualifications

• Experience of providing high standard of dog/animal welfare.
• Practical experience working with dogs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise under pressure and use initiative.
• Organisation and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as a specialist in canine welfare, husbandry, health monitoring and behavioural wellbeing, ensuring that every dog within Canine Partners receives exceptional standards of care throughout its training journey.
• Health checks, grooming, and bathing dogs, using consent-based training techniques.
• Liaising with partners at Matching Visits to discuss any health issues / pre-existing conditions and to go through partner-specific grooming requirements.
• Working with volunteers to ensure the dogs in kennels are looked after, focusing on their wellbeing, exercise and stimulation.
