Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Candidate Experience Specialist (Contractor) to shape how candidates experience GitLab from first touch through offer and handoff to our People Operations team.

You'll be a key partner to Recruiters, hiring managers, and recruiting leadership, helping them execute hiring plans, coordinate interviews, and maintain accurate, transparent processes in our applicant tracking system and GitLab repositories.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-to-end hiring processes in partnership with recruiters and hiring managers.
• Proficiency with applicant tracking systems; Greenhouse experience is beneficial but not required.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and scheduling tools; willingness to learn more tools.
• Clear, professional written and verbal communication with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong organization, time management, and prioritization with attention to detail.
• Ability to collaborate across time zones while maintaining confidentiality.
• Interest in talent acquisition and inclusive hiring practices.
• Alignment with GitLab's values and remote asynchronous work environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Recruiters, hiring teams, and leadership to understand and execute the hiring plan for each job requisition.
• Coordinate with Recruiters to maintain accurate, up-to-date hiring process information in the applicant tracking system and GitLab repositories.
• Manage candidate scheduling and act as the Recruiting Coordinator to organize interviews and keep hiring processes running smoothly.
• Ensure candidates receive timely, thoughtful, and engaging communication at each stage of the hiring process.
• Help manage candidate traffic for all roles, monitoring pipelines and flagging issues or bottlenecks to the recruiting team.
• Create and stage employment contracts for candidates receiving offers on behalf of hiring managers and Recruiters.
• Partner with People Operations to create a seamless handoff for new team members joining GitLab.
• Promote GitLab's values, culture, and all-remote approach in every interaction, acting as a brand ambassador for potential team members.
