We seek a self-motivated candidate capable of working independently and as part of our team. The candidate should be able to provide a competent and efficient ward-based service and support other team members with timely verification of SACT for our main and outreach sites.
You will join our team at an exciting time, as we become further integrated into multidisciplinary developments within the wider cancer SACT service. The Trust's implementation of the MyCare (EPIC) system has modernised our services, currently running parallel with the Chemocare v database. We are also beginning planning for the Peninsula-wide Beacon Oncology module of EPIC.
Our prescribing pharmacists are committed to supporting non-medical prescribing (NMP) clinics and the SACT day-case unit, with all pharmacists being qualified prescribers or in training. Our department plays an integral role in the current cancer services strategy to expand NMP clinics rapidly to meet increasing SACT demand. We have pharmacist workstations in our newly integrated haematology/oncology SACT day unit to provide excellent patient-focused care.
As valued members of the cancer services team, and with scope for development, our pharmacists enjoy high job satisfaction.
