Job summary

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust is advertising a permanent, full-time Cancer Pathway Tracker/Admin Medical Laboratory Assistant in the Cellular Pathology Department. The role is a combined position with Cancer Pathway tracking and general admin MLA duties, across a 37.5-hour week.

You will monitor cancer pathway samples, liaise with cancer services, Biomedical Scientists and Consultant Histopathologists, and support MDTs and archiving tasks. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Good organisational skills
• Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative

Responsibilities

• Update Cancer Services Pathology Escalation spreadsheet for PTL meetings
• General clerical duties (filing, telephone answering, photocopying)
• Identify and prioritise Cancer Pathology tests as Cancer Pathway
• Collaborate with cancer services and Cellular Pathology team
• Maintain office policy and customer service standards
