Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic Apprentice Cancer MDT Assistant to join the Cancer Services team. The role involves providing admin support to the MDT, organising lists and patient notes, and assisting with MDT meetings and video conferencing across the Cancer Network.

A Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship will be undertaken with West Nottinghamshire College. Closing date: 05 November 2026.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths at minimum level 4-9 (or equivalent).
• Customer care experience and good interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and the ability to prioritise workload.
• Reliable, motivated and able to work on own initiative.
• Flexible approach and calm under pressure in a busy environment.
• Willingness to undertake Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship.

Responsibilities

• Provide general admin/clerical support to the Cancer MDT work programme.
• Organise lists and retrieve patient case notes for MDT processes.
• Assist in MDT meetings and ensure notes are captured promptly.
• Help prepare video conferencing to other hospitals within the Cancer Network.
• Support efficient administration of Cancer MDT meetings.
