Job: Cancer Community Engagement Officer (North Wales Region)
Based where you live in North Wales, you’ll be able to travel across North to Mid Wales regularly. There is some occasional travel to our Head Office (Cardiff) for induction, training, and team meetings as required. IT equipment is provided, and you’ll need a suitable home working space.

We’re passionate about engaging with local Welsh communities and their needs regarding cancer. We aim to represent this and promote awareness of our cancer support services to make a difference when they need our help and support most.
To be our North Wales Cancer Community Engagement Officer, you should demonstrate the following skills and qualities:
The Role:
To support our North Wales work, we’re looking to grow our network of community contacts and volunteers. Funded to recruit a local Cancer Community Engagement Officer, you will represent our North Wales community engagement efforts, raise awareness of Tenovus Cancer Care, and build a volunteer network.
The role involves finding local connections, offering solutions to bring people affected by cancer together, and helping them access the right support with our help.
You will work with local volunteers to build and strengthen partnerships at local and regional levels, referring clients to our support services like Counselling, Support Line, Sing With Us, and Mobile Support Units, as well as collaborating with other departments.
If you’re passionate about amplifying unheard voices in cancer care in Wales, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a tangible difference.
Skills and experience required include volunteer management, recruitment, community engagement, communication, presentation, relationship management, promotion, and community participation.
