Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Qualified Clinical/Counselling Psychologist to lead a new cancer care project and deliver Level 4 psychological support within the Dorset Cancer Centre. The post is part-time with 18 months funding and potential to extend or become permanent based on outcomes.

Qualifications

• HCPC registered Clinical/Counselling Psychologist.
• Experience in cancer care or multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
• Experience leading projects and service development.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a project to support psychological care for cancer patients across all tumour groups.
• Provide assessment and intervention services to people referred to the Dorset Cancer Centre Counselling and Psychology Service.
• Collaborate with the Team Lead and a supporting Assistant Psychologist.
• Develop relationships with Cancer MDTs and ward clinicians to improve psychological screening and support.
