A leading healthcare provider in London is seeking an experienced Aseptic Services Pharmacist to support a patient-centred service, ensuring timely provision of chemotherapy doses. Candidates should have at least one year of post-registration experience in hospital pharmacy, with a focus on oncology and aseptic services. Our two aseptic units are staffed by enthusiastic and committed teams delivering a high number of doses daily across both sites to various specialties. Imperial has one of only three gestational trophoblastic disease centres nationwide.
As a cancer and aseptic services pharmacist, you will be supporting a patient-centred service which is compliant with Good Manufacturing Practice.
A main part of your role will be to ensure the timely provision of chemotherapy doses to the chemotherapy day unit and the wards. Once accredited, you will help provide a clinical screening service for SACT and clinical trials, liaising with prescribers, nurses and clinical research teams.
You'll also play a core role in our ward based service, directly supporting colleagues and patients in line with Trust procedures and national legislation. You will also have the opportunity to develop your management skills through the supervision of our Band 6 rotational pharmacists. Applicants should have excellent organisational and communication skills and be happy to work independently or in a team.
Applicants need at least 1 year post-registration training and experience in Hospital Pharmacy including previous experience in at least one of the relevant areas.
