Job summary

OCS UK & Ireland is seeking a part-time operative to work Monday to Friday, 9am–3pm, on site. You will perform visual inspection, defect removal, and material segregation, while monitoring the production line and maintaining a clean workspace.

The role involves manual handling and occasional heavy lifting, with strict attention to detail to ensure only quality cans advance. This position supports our facilities management operations across the UK&I, offering opportunities for practical growth

Qualifications

• Visual inspection responsibilities may require careful attention to defects and quality control.
• Must be able to handle repetitive manual tasks and use fine motor skills.

Responsibilities

• Visual inspection of cans and materials.
• Defect removal and counting as you go.
• Material segregation and sorting.
• Machine monitoring and line observation.
• Work space upkeep and cleaning as you go.
• Record keeping of produced counts and defects.
• Manual handling; fast-paced can sorting and movement.
• Some heavy lifting and pallet movement as required.
• Attention to detail to spot tiny dents, misprints, and seam flaws.
• Inspect and remove defective cans during the process.

About The Role:

Working Pattern

• Record keeping
• Manual handling, fast paced can sorting.
• Some heavy lifting and moving pallets.
• Attention to detail, quickly spotting issues, tiny dents, misprints and seam flaws.
• Inspects and removes defective cans and counting as you go.
• Workspace up keep, cleaning as you go.
