About the role:

The Role

You will maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors, promoting good learner behaviour across the campus. Key duties will include:

  1. Monitoring the use of public areas, teaching spaces, cafes, social areas, and campus grounds, and reporting or taking appropriate action to stop unsafe activities.
  2. Using effective de-escalation techniques to manage learner behaviour positively.
  3. Controlling access of personnel and vehicular traffic, ensuring only authorized persons are allowed on site, including checking ID cards.
  4. Taking action in case of accidents or incidents, including administering first aid and completing reports per College procedures.
  5. Collaborating with team members to operate fire, security, CCTV systems using electronic and computerized facilities management systems.
Skills and Experience

You hold an SIA Door Supervision Licence and have experience in security, CCTV operations, or youth work. You should have conflict management and de-escalation skills and be able to manage learner behaviour positively. Effective communication with students, staff, and visitors at all levels is essential. You should be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
