Job summary

Stanmore College is seeking a Security Officer to help maintain a safe, welcoming campus for students, staff, and visitors. You will join the Estates team and be a visible, approachable presence across the site, supporting day-to-day security operations and responding to incidents with professionalism.

You will monitor activity, control access to buildings and grounds, and work closely with colleagues to promote positive behaviour and a secure college environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the day-to-day security and smooth operation of the College campus.
• Monitor activity across the site and promote positive standards of behaviour.
• Control access to College buildings and grounds and help maintain a safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Carry out regular patrols and support the security of College facilities and premises.
• Respond appropriately to incidents, concerns, and requests for assistance.
• Build positive relationships with students and act as a visible and approachable presence on campus.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the effective day-to-day operation of the College.
