Job summary

An education provider in the UK is seeking a Campus Maintenance Technician to maintain, install, and refurbish facilities across multiple campuses. You will monitor building conditions, undertake repairs, and assist with refurbishment projects. The ideal candidate should have relevant qualifications, such as the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification and City & Guilds in Electrical Installations. This role involves a 40-hour work week, with travel and flexible hours required.

Qualifications

• Must have 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
• Hold City & Guilds Level 2/Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent NVQ.
• Experience in building maintenance including M&E systems is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and reactive maintenance across campuses.
• Maintain and refurbish building fabric and equipment.
• Monitor condition of campus buildings and undertake repairs.

The Role

The Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer will maintain, install and refurbish fabric and equipment across the GBS UK estates portfolio. They will monitor the condition of GBS buildings, undertake repairs and renovations and assist Estates and Facilities in planning refurbishment projects. This role may require travel to other GBS UK campuses and demands flexible working. 40‑hour week covering campus operating hours Monday to Sunday, 7:00am to 9:30pm, with occasional out‑of‑hours work to minimise disruption.
