The Business Development team within Global Merchant Services (GMS) is responsible for driving the growth of American Express acceptance by acquiring new merchants, expanding existing business relationships, and developing strategic partnerships. The team combines relationship management, commercial strategy, analytics, and project management to identify growth opportunities, improve the customer experience, and support American Express's long-term business objectives

This internship offers an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience within the Business Development team at American Express. The intern will support projects aligned to strategic, operational, and financial goals, while developing an understanding of merchant acquisition, partnership management, market strategy, and business analytics. The role provides exposure to cross‑functional collaboration and the opportunity to work on meaningful initiatives that contribute to business growth and customer value.
