Job summary

King's College London seeks an Apprentice to join the Building Services Engineering team. The role involves assisting with planned and reactive maintenance, inspections of mechanical and electrical assets, and collaboration with technicians to ensure excellent service.

You'll attend college as required, complete mandatory safety training, and contribute to a flexible, customer-focused service. The 35-hour workweek is paired with a fixed-term contract and London weighting.

Qualifications

• Meet apprentice standards criteria for the program.
• IT literate with basic digital tools (iPad / MS Teams / Emails).
• Flexible attitude and team player.
• Understanding of general health and safety requirements.
• Willingness to learn and develop.
• Excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside campus engineering teams delivering planned and reactive maintenance.
• Implement learned skills in the workplace and share knowledge with the wider teams.
• Complete visual inspections and repairs of mechanical and electrical assets within skill set.
• Raise remedial work with the management team.
• Complete paperwork associated with planned maintenance promptly and to a high standard.
• Work with technicians to manage stock levels.
• Assist relevant contractors.
• Attend college as required in line with course schedule.
