Sigmar Recruitment is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to maintain electrical systems across a large campus and student accommodation.

You will carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs, diagnose faults, and support health and safety checks in academic buildings, residences and plant rooms. The role is foot-mobile across campus, with a salary of £38,000–£42,000, up to 40 days’ annual leave, a generous pension, overtime opportunities and ongoing training.

Formación

• A recognised Level 3 electrical qualification is required.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification – BS 7671 is required.
• Experience in maintenance electrician roles, ideally in commercial premises, education, healthcare, residential or student accommodation.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults in academic buildings, residences and plant rooms.
• Maintaining systems including lighting, emergency lighting, small power, distribution boards and building services equipment.
• Supporting statutory compliance, health and safety checks and safe operation of campus facilities.
• Working with other maintenance disciplines and contractors when required.
• Providing a professional and helpful service to students, staff and visitors.
• The role may involve working in occupied student accommodation and responding to urgent maintenance issues, particularly during peak periods.
• The buildings are located across a large campus; the role will be foot mobile and physically active.
