Job summary

University Partnerships Programme is recruiting a Multi Skilled Technician (Electrical) to join the team at Nottingham University. The role focuses on planned and responsive electrical and mechanical maintenance within student residences, ensuring safety and compliance.

The position is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with a salary up to £38,110 per annum depending on experience. A current UK driving licence is essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with City & Guilds/ equivalent.
• Additional qualifications (2382, 2391) are desirable but not essential.
• Must bring qualification certificates to interview.
• Strong health and safety awareness and building services knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Undertake maintenance within residences in a safe working environment.
• Carry out reactive maintenance per SLA and provide frontline response for plant and installations.
• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance and liaise with sub-contractors.
• Maintain accurate records of breakdowns and maintenance repairs for statutory compliance.
• Carry out statutory testing including fire alarm, emergency lighting, and PAT testing.
