Job summary

Middlesbrough College is seeking two Cleaning Operatives to join the Estates team on a permanent part-time basis, term-time only (38 weeks). Shifts are 20 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 6:00–10:00) or 22.5 hours per week (Mon–Thu 6:00–10:00, Fri 6:00–10:30) on campus.

You will maintain clean, safe areas across the campus and manage cleaning materials to ensure high hygiene standards for students, staff, and visitors.

Qualifications

• To hold a Risk Assessment Qualification
• To hold a COSHH Qualification

Responsibilities

• Clean areas and surfaces to specifications in a timely manner.
• Service toilet areas including replenishing supplies.
• Clear and remove rubbish and other items from areas as detailed by the site specification and ensure the security of all areas at completion of duties.
• Maintain stocks of cleaning materials, order from suppliers where required and to control the usage of materials ensuring the cleaning cupboard is always kept tidy.
